Concentrator
Concentrator listens for dial-up and leased line connections.
Communication protocol is asynchronous, without error protection. Concentrator analyzes incoming message, byte by byte, separating control from data characters.
If a message is invalid, EFT-POS is notified in order to repeat the message. If a message is valid, 8583 packager unpacks data part. Elementary content control is performed against 8583 fields. If something is wrong, connection is refused.
Otherwise, Concentrator passes the message to the Terminal Manager for further processing. Concentrator waits for a response message from TM and sends it back to originator. In case of sale and refund transactions, waits for confirmation from EFT-POS. According to EFT-POS response, sends positive or negative confirmation to TM. Concentrator governs whole transaction cycle, meaning that Concentrator holds object instances for current EFT-POS connections.
Concentrator, during load, initiates all enabled serial ports. GUI part of Concentrator gives to an Administrator vision of their status and also the possibility to activate/deactivate any of them.
