There are three cases for card issuance accommodated by the NBS IFC system.
New accounts
Cardholders enter a branch and open an account with the bank. They are immediately issued with a new secure, ATM or Debit card within minutes of opening their account.
Faulty cards
The magnetic stripe fails, or the card becomes inoperable such that the ATM or POS terminal can no longer read the information on the magnetic stripe
Expired cards
Existing cardholders, whose cards are about to expire, are provided with a new replacement card in advance of the expiry of the existing card.
